A Child-Within

If a child is learning how to walk, you do not demand it to run.
Let it crawl. The child will one day learn how to walk.
All one need do is give it support and encouragement.
It takes time for a child to comprehend certain concepts
but once it does it never forgets them. Like a real living child,
the child-within also must take its time to grasp what you want to do.
An actor's responsibility is not to expect results,
but to nurture an inner environment
where the child-within can live, breathe and play.
An actor must let the child-within be,
let it make mistakes,
and let it grow at its own pace.
Realize deeply the child-within
can intuit an impulse, an idea, an inspiration,
an actor might never knew existed.
