Despite countless, poignant laments,
a simple cursory glance at history reveals
the catholic and innate compulsion
for suicidal human slaughter.
Despite cyclical, heartfelt cries of Never Again!
the objective eye can only deduce
what is truly meant
is Forever and Ever Again!
Despite vain protests,
to the unblinking I,
humanity,
a rising and setting sun,
not only lives but yearns to die.
