With its many transformative wonders,
technology is,
like beauty,
enticing, seductive, enthralling,
and like beauty,
skin deep.
Violence - lust - wisdom - art
no more understood now than then.
Humanity remains humanity.
But,
technology,
like some cosmic plow,
churns the loam of humankind in ceaseless mutations,
forever lifting those buried in physical oppression,
and lets grow,
in recurrent upheaval,
redolent with Hope,
the fragile flower of human genius.
