From wavesí ebb and flow, breathís in and exhale,
earthís silent game of tag from day to night,
heart beat, seasonís fixed changeable tale,
and in and out of sensuous sex rite,

from infectious joy of musical beat,
cyclical return of the wild to place,
return of craving babe to motherís teat,
and pulsing thirst for war by human race,

from cicadaís sleep to starry comet
with their predestined arrhythmic cadence,
or between a galaxyís vast orbit
and a protonís microscopic valence,

is it a wonder itís hard to wonder
beyond the familiar we ponder?
