Acceptance

To be present to oneself, to live in
the moment, to be here in the present,
to not be lured by past or future din,
but to savor life bursting and nascent,

is willed by a surrender absolute
to ineffable joy of acceptance.
Acceptance of oneself without dispute,
without an iota of self-vengeance,

and where not a nano second is spent
in needless, cruel recrimination,
which in it’s essence is just the foment
of death’s lethal rationalization.

For the cold forgotten truth o firefly,
is life is now, for too soon you do die.
