Attention

Abducted from true to false self as child
by civilizing and familial
necessity, I am weaned and exiled
from real body to chance culture gospel.

Lost in civilization’s wilderness,
without pole star body as mooring guide,
left bereft to wander wonder helpless
through societies’ arbitrary divide.

Humanity’s birthright, the I of each
one, to be my captain and purveyor
of my life giving warmth, where it can reach
love-starved body with my vital nectar.

I am the flame of life miraculous,
who will lead me, ego or life mindless?
