Death
Waning nocturnal moon with no return,
setting diurnal sun in last west’s turn,
endless ocean depth, endless mountain peaks,
isn’t infinite what everyone seeks?
Crack in sidewalk yawns into the abyss,
as the mind nightmares in demonic bliss.
I am thought as hideous phantasm
but am I not life’s supreme orgasm?
Why you flee from me in fear and terror,
see me merely as devouring cancer,
when all that I bring is absence of pain,
entry in afterlife’s peaceful domain?
Time is my unswerving executor,
only breath mocks my undying splendor.
