From ovum fed sperm or sperm fed ovum,
through an amnion sea umbilical
and a loving mother’s teat milk wholesome
to the daily toothsome victual ritual,
oral sustenance is the coarse fuel
by which the living do a life sustain.

From a genetic parental mingle,
through an intrauterine sound refrain
and a loving coo or cruel cadence
to everyday life experience found,
an impression is the fine sustenance
by which the living do a life resound.

Food for thought is what and how we consume,
from before the womb to our destined tomb.
