Hunch

Right, wrong, true, false, all are irrelevant,
when within my bones with total being
certainty, I perceive in an instant
notion over and above all seeming.

Beyond all thought, feeling and or reason,
the premonition envelops my gut,
a sudden inescapable omen
that so overwhelms I cannot rebut.

A quick convergence of impressions lead
to one inevitable conclusion
that makes me for the moment ever cede
to a will that’s impossible to shun.

Possessed, I submit to a single fate
where all presentiment longs to fixate.
