Sky
When I look up at the earth’s boundless blue,
when I follow drifting sumptuous clouds,
when I gaze upon night's white and black view,
or when I see what the pale moon enshrouds,
a moment sometime winks in my earthbound
mind. A brief, miraculous, unforeseen
moment breathes, that does all reason confound,
far from the humdrum diurnal routine.
It can only be described as an out
of species experience where within
genital eyes I’m transported without
my being to where life and death begin.
I become atom, I become cosmos,
I become none with infinite logos.
