Truth Lies

Whether blunt or oblique, simple or not,
cruel or kind, welcome or repellent,
comedic or tragic, fled from or sought,
revered or scorned, latent or apparent,

the truth lies forever, implacable,
unsparing and unceasing, everywhere.
Volcanic or placid, strong or fragile,
crippling or constructive, unjust or fair,

sensible or not, soothing or caustic,
evolving or sudden, lavish or bleak,
the truth lies within and without, gnostic
of all that humanity needs to seek.

Truth lies rarely in what we wish to see,
but ever in reality’s debris.
